The last Friday before Christmas 2008

The last few weeks have flown by, how and when and where it all went I don't know.

A few newsworthy items:

1. Corrie had an appointment with a nutritionist yesterday. She has gained weight, but barely and is only gaining at 2% of what she should be. Although I had figured this all out a few days ago, it is none the less dissapointing. She has an appointment with the doctor on Tuesday. Right now she is still just barely 8lbs and has virtually no energy. She pulled her feeding tube out a few days ago and since it is so traumatic and we had a few appointments out we decided to leave it out, but I did have to put it back again this morning. I am going to be adding a few things to the needs list, they are Formula (any US made formula, this is critical because of the amount of calories it has. The only formula we can get here with that many calories is $20 for a very small can, she is going through 3 a week) Microlax enemas, glycerine suppositories. Specialty formulas (ie preemie formulas) would be great but we can do with the regular formula.
   
2. We are hoping to have a new home or apartment by next week for caring for babies. We have received news about an orphanage who is having a very difficult time caring for their kids, and many are dying. Please pray about this. There are two babies with down syndrome waiting to come under our care, so we need a home asap.
   
3. We have a lot of meetings going on right now, and a lot more coming up after Christmas. Meetings with developers, attorneys, etc etc. Please be praying about this project we are working on. We are not able to share all the details of it right now.
4. We currently have a list of things that we are praying through, some of them big financial things, some of them government and decision making things. We would like to share this list with anyone who would like to pray with us. If you would like to be added to a prayer list, please email us.
   
5. Thank you to everyone who contributed financially for a car. We are still praying and know that the Lord has something planned. Right now Lori is still raising funds and we are hoping that soon we will be able to purchase one!
