Not so pleasant phone calls

Last night I spent some time on the phone with Corrie's doctor, he was able to give me lots of not so pleasant information, here it is.

First off, Corrie. Long story short when he saw her part of her intestine that was coming outside of her ostomy had turned black and was bleeding, not good. His words to me were that she was going to need surgery, not good. Other than that, he said she looked amazing and that her Neuro status was SO improved, Praise God!!!

Thankfully I was able to talk to our supervisor and after taking her to see the surgeon the intestine was put back and the color returned to normal, no surgery. Please pray it stays this way!

Second, he shared with me that a dear friend who is a doctor there and who has treated almost all our babies and has had a part in saving the life of several suffered a major stroke while working in an earthquake hit area and required surgery. This man's story is amazing, he is an amazing man of God who radiates Joy and Peace in everything he does. He is a walking testimony of what God can do in the absolute worst condition possible, truly what he has been through makes me realize how much I have. We do not know his current status, and we are so sad to hear this. Please pray with us for Dr. X and his recovery.

Third, he shared with me that he and his family are moving. This is somewhat devastating news to Morning Star as we have been able to count on him any time we have needed advice or help or whenever we have a baby we just didn't know what to do with. Him and his family have been such a huge help and we have been so thankful for everything they have given. Please pray for Dr. A and his family as they move and start new again in another part of the world.

Please also pray that God would provide another doctor to fill the shoes of these men and be able to come alongside Morning Star.
